Set up a proxy server
Overview
If you're experiencing connectivity issues on Viber, using a proxy server may help restore your connection. This article explains what a proxy server is and how to configure one on your phone or desktop.
About proxy servers
A proxy server acts as an intermediary between your device and the internet. When you use a proxy server, your internet requests are first sent to the proxy, which then forwards them to the desired destination. This can help in various ways, such as improving security, managing internet traffic, and enhancing privacy.
Connectivity
Under certain network conditions, you might experience connectivity problems while using Viber. These issues can arise for various reasons, such as network restrictions or configurations that interfere with Viber's ability to connect to its servers.
If you encounter connectivity problems, one potential solution is to route your connection through a proxy server. Doing so can often bypass the network conditions causing the issue and restore your connection to Viber.
