Using proxy servers with Rakuten Viber

Configuring Rakuten Viber to use a proxy server
If you have access to a proxy server, you can configure Rakuten Viber to use it. The supported types of proxy servers are:
- SOCKS5
- ShadowSocks
- GoQuiet
- Cloak
- SSH
- SSH_SS
To configure Rakuten Viber to use a proxy server, please select the type of proxy you wish to use:
Phone:
- Open Rakuten Viber on phone
- Tap on More
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on General
- Tap on Use Proxy
- Toggle the Use Proxy setting to ON
- Select SOCKS5
- Fill out the proxy settings (IP address, port, username, password - in that order)
- Tap Back to save the configuration
- Restart Rakuten Viber
Desktop:
- Open Rakuten Viber on desktop
- Click on your profile picture in the top-left corner
- Click Settings
- Click Privacy & Security
- Click on Manage under Use proxy server
- Select SOCKS5 as the proxy type
- Fill out the proxy settings (IP address, port, username, password - in that order) and click Accept
- Restart Rakuten Viber

- Tap Back to save the configuration
- Restart Rakuten Viber

- Open Rakuten Viber on desktop
- Click on your profile picture in the top-left corner
- Click Settings
- Click Privacy & Security
- Click on Manage under Use proxy server
- Select Cloak as the proxy type
- Fill out the proxy settings (IP address, port, password, public key, server name - in that order), select an encryption method, and click Accept
- Restart Rakuten Viber

- Open Rakuten Viber on phone
- Tap on More
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on General
- Tap on Use Proxy
- Toggle the Use Proxy setting to ON
- Select SSH
- Fill out the proxy settings (server IP, port, username, password - in that order) and select an encryption method
- Tap Back to save the configuration
- Restart Rakuten Viber
