General information
Yes! You can subscribe to Viber Plus directly from the Viber desktop app without using your mobile device.
Simply click Upgrade to Viber Plus from available options like deleting messages without a trace, leaving groups silently, hide ads, or from the More menu. You’ll see a feature description, then the full offer screen where you can select your desired plan and complete a secure payment through Stripe.
Currently, monthly subscriptions are available with a free 14-day trial if you’re eligible. Free trials are only available once per user. Annual plans and special offers will be added later.
Payment and security
Payments are securely processed through Stripe. You'll provide your payment information, including your email, card details, name, and country. Alternatively, you can opt to use Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Yes. Stripe handles all payment information securely, and Viber does not store your card details.
Currently, payments are accepted in USD and Euro depending on your country. More currencies will be supported in future updates.
Free trial
If you’re eligible, you can start a 14-day free before your monthly subscription begins. You can only use the free trial once.
No. Free trials are only available once per user.
After subscribing
You’ll see a confirmation message: “Congratulations! You’re a Viber Plus member!” Your subscription will sync across your devices, so you can enjoy premium features on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Yes. You can access Viber Plus settings in the desktop app to view your subscription and manage it on Stripe’s dashboard.
Troubleshooting
You’ll see a clear error message and can try again or return to the offer screen. If the payment window doesn’t load, you’ll be asked to retry.
Canceling your subscription
Go to Viber Plus settings in the desktop app and click Manage My Subscription. This will open a web page where you can cancel your subscription through Stripe.
If you subscribed via mobile, you must cancel your subscription through your mobile app store (Google Play or App Store).
You’ll keep access to Viber Plus features until the end of your billing period. After that, your subscription will end, and premium features will be disabled.
