Send a Note without a match
Overview
Make your profile stand out and increase your chances of connecting with a personalized message.
A Note is a short, personalized message you can attach to your profile when you like someone. When the other person sees your profile* in their Discover feed, your Note will appear, giving you a chance to make a unique first impression.
About Notes
- Open Viber on your phone
- Tap the Viber Dating

- Tap the Discover
tab
- Find a profile you want to send a Note to and tap the Send a Note
button
- You can swipe through the recipient's photos at the top of the screen as you type your message
- In the text field, type your message*
- Tap Send
- Your Note can be up to 150 characters
- A character counter will show you how many characters you have left
- You must type at least 3 characters
When someone sends you a Note, their profile will appear in your Discover feed with their message attached.
- Open Viber on your phone
- Tap the Viber Dating
- Tap the Discover
- When you see a profile that sent you a Note, you will see a message that says You got a Note
- Tap the message to read the Note
- From here, you can Like or Dislike the profile
To send a Note, you need at least one Note credit. Your balance is visible in your Profile tab.
To buy more Note credits:
- Open Viber on your phone
- Tap the Viber Dating
- Tap the Profile

- Your Notes balance will be displayed. Tap it to purchase a new pack
If you're having trouble sending a Note, here's why it might be happening:
Links or inappropriate content
Notes are reviewed to ensure they follow our Viber's Community Guidelines. They cannot include links.
- If your Note has a link or violates our guidelines, a message will say Note wasn't sent
- Revise your message and try again
- Your Note balance will not change if the Note was not sent
Network issues
If there's a problem with your internet connection, your Note might not send.
- Check your internet connection and try sending the Note again
- Your Note balance will not change if the Note was not sent
You can report any Note that you feel is offensive or violates Viber's Community Guidelines.
- Open Viber on your phone
- Tap the Viber Dating
- Tap the Discover
- When you see a profile that sent you a Note, tap the message to read it
- Tap Report
- Select the reason for your report from the provided list
- Confirm your report
After you report a Note, the sender's profile will be removed from your feed. Our team will review your report and take appropriate action.
