Set up and activate an eSIM

• An eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked device
• A stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular) for the initial purchase and setup
• The latest version of Viber on your Android or iOS device

You can find the eSIM marketplace in your More menu:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap More
3. Tap eSIM (located just below Viber Out)
4. Use the Search bar to find your destination country
5. Browse the available Data packages and select the one that fits your trip
6. Review your selection on the Checkout screen
7. Tap Buy and pay securely via Credit / Debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay

Once your payment is successful, your eSIM is ready to install.

After purchase, you’ll see instructions in the eSIM section of your More menu.

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap More
3. Tap eSIM
4. Copy the SM-DP+ address* and Activation Code
5. Go to your device Settings Cellular Add eSIM
6. Tap Enter Details Manually at the bottom of the screen
7. Paste the address and code into the required fields
8. Follow the prompts to finish the setup

*The SM-DP+ address is a secure link you need to copy in order to download and install your eSIM

Your plan activates automatically once you land and connect to a local network.

Important

You must activate within 90 days from the time of your purchase.

To keep your transactions safe, Viber uses advanced verification systems:

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Occasionally, you may be asked to complete a 3DS verification (a quick security check from your bank) to authorize your purchase
• Check your remaining data anytime by returning to the eSIM section in the More menu

Important

Rakuten Viber eSIM provides mobile data only. It does not include a local phone number for traditional analog calls or SMS. However, you can still use Viber to make calls and send messages using your eSIM data.
