Dynamic features on Android devices
We’ve created the smallest version of Rakuten Viber possible using dynamic features!
The new Rakuten Viber contains only the most essential features needed for the app to run, making it lighter and allowing you to manually download any available extra features that you need.
What are dynamic features?
As you navigate through Rakuten Viber, you may be prompted to download* features not included in the initial installation of the app. This way, the only features taking up space on your phone are the ones that you want to use.
*If you don’t download the feature, you won’t be able to use it.
Dynamic feature errors
Features will download in the background as you continue to use Rakuten Viber. For best results, remain on the app during the download process and restart Rakuten Viber when the process is complete.
If you receive an error message, consider the following recommendations:

New features can only be downloaded using an internet connection. |
| Not enough free storage |
You don’t have enough storage space on your device to download a feature. Clear up some space by deleting apps or files and try to download the feature again. |
| Download unavailable |

| Previous installations needed |
Some features can only be downloaded after other base features have been downloaded first. Wait a few moments for the other features to finish downloading and try to download the feature again. |
| Another download is in progress |
You can only download one feature at a time. Wait a few moments for the other features to finish downloading and try to download the feature again. |
| Keep Rakuten Viber open |
The download failed because you closed or exited out of the Rakuten Viber app. Start the download again, this time remaining on Rakuten Viber by keeping the app open. |
