Update your profile settings

Your profile picture is displayed in your chats to help other Viber users identify you.

To change your profile picture:

Phone

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap More
3. Tap on your existing profile picture (More screen)
4. Tap on your profile picture again (Profile screen)

You will have the option to:

• Choose a picture from your Gallery
• Take a photo with your Camera
• Use Lenses for your profile picture
• Remove your picture (no picture will be displayed on your profile)

Desktop

1. Open Viber on your desktop
2. Click on your profile picture next to the Search field
3. Click on your current profile picture
4. Click on Select new
5. Select a photo saved on your computer
6. Click Open
   1. Click and drag corners of the photo to resize the focus box
   2. Click and move the focus box to reposition it on the section you want your profile picture to display
7. Click Done

Your name is displayed in your chats to help other Viber users identify you.

If someone has not saved your contact information in their device's address book, your Viber name will be displayed.

If someone has saved your contact information in their address book, the name they have saved you as will be displayed instead.

To change your Viber name:

Phone

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap More
3. Tap on your current Viber name
4. Type in a new name
5. Confirm

Desktop

1. Open Viber on your desktop
2. Click on your profile picture next to the Search field
3. Click on the Pen next to your name
4. Type in a new name
5. Click on the Checkmark to confirm the name change

The date of birth is mainly used to identify minors so that we can adjust our services for their protection. It is also the day that we will notify your contacts that it is your birthday.

To change your birth date:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap More
3. Tap on your current Viber name
4. Tap on the current birth date
5. Select the date
6. Confirm

Your email address is used if we need to communicate with you via email.

To change your email address:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap More
3. Tap on your Viber name
4. Tap on your current email address
5. Type in a new email address
6. Confirm
