Extra Features: Android and Wear OS
With Viber on Android and Wear OS, you can easily send and reply to messages, change your Viber ringtone, and search through your chats.
Quick reply
Reply to new messages without opening Viber:
- Tap Reply on the message notification
- Type a reply
- Tap the send button
Mark as read
Show* the message sender that you’ve received their message without opening Viber or replying by tapping Mark as read on the message notification.
*The sender will see two purple ticks 
next to their message.

Choose a new ringtone for your Viber calls:
- Open Viber on your Phone
- Tap More
- Tap Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Tap Use system sounds
- Tap Call ringtone
Select one of the ringtones displayed to choose your ringtone.
You can also change your notification sound:
- Open Viber on your Phone
- Tap More
- Tap Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Tap Notification sound
Select one of the ringtones displayed to choose your notification sound.
In-chat search
Search for phrases within your chats:
- Open Viber on your Phone
- Tap on Chats
- Select the chat you want to search in
- Tap Info
- Tap Search
- Enter the phrase you’re looking for
- Tap the Search
button on your keyboard - Scroll between the different locations of the phrase using the Arrows
Wear OS
Viber is available on smartwatches using the Wear Operating System (Android).
To use Viber on your watch:
- You must have Android version 5.0 or higher on your phone.
- You must have Viber version 5.3 or higher.
- Open your watch’s app on your phone and enable Viber.
Functions*:
- You can receive text messages.
- Your watch is synced to your phone.
- If chats are muted on your phone, they will also be muted on your watch.
- GIFs and animated stickers can’t be played.
- To read a message, tap and drag down on your screen to scroll.
- You can reply using speech-to-text options or by selecting from the available phrases.
- To send a new message, open Google’s Assistant and state that you want to send a message to (name of the contact as written in your contacts list) using Viber saying (your message).
- You will see an incoming call on your watch.
