With Rakuten Viber on iOS, you can easily send and reply to messages, use CarPlay, and unlock your hidden chats with Face/Touch ID.

Open Rakuten Viber on your iPhone
Tap on Chats
Select the chat you want to send a photo in
Tap on Gallery
Select a photo from the choices displayed OR tap on Recent photos to view your recent photos on a full screen

Siri

Start a call or send a message on your iPhone using Rakuten Viber with Siri.

Make sure Siri is switched on
Unlock your iPhone
Instruct Siri to perform an action
- To send a message, say, “Hey Siri send a message to (your contact’s name) using Rakuten Viber, saying (your message).” Say “Send” to confirm and send your message
- To start a voice call say, “Hey Siri, call (your contact’s name) using Rakuten Viber”
- To start a video call say, “Hey Siri, video call (your contact’s name) using Rakuten Viber”

Notes

Siri only understands one language at a time, so if your Siri is set to English, and you’re speaking Swahili, Siri may not understand you

Make sure you say the name of your contact as they are written in your Rakuten Viber contact list so that Siri can understand to whom you are referring

You can’t send media messages, GIFS, or emojis using Siri

Activating Siri may differ depending on which version of iOS you’re using

CarPlay

Use Rakuten Viber safely when you’re driving, with CarPlay.

Rakuten Viber is automatically added to the list of apps on your iPhone and your car’s display. To use CarPlay, make sure Siri has been activated.

Answer a call

Depending on your car model, you can answer a Rakuten Viber call by tapping the answer key on your car’s display, your iPhone, or your steering wheel.

Read a message

Siri will read your message when you tap on the message notification.

Start a call or send a message

Tap on the Rakuten Viber icon on your car display, and Siri will guide you through making a call or sending a message.

Notes

Siri only understands one language at a time, so if you’re Siri is British, and you’re speaking Swahili, Siri may not understand you

Siri may not be able to read your messages if they’re in a different language to the Siri you have or if Siri has limitations in that language

Siri can only read text messages. For non-text messages, such as voice messages, stickers, videos, and photos, Siri will indicate the message type received

Make sure you say the name of your contact as they are written in your Rakuten Viber contact list so that Siri can understand to whom you are referring
