Fix Notification Issues
Notifications alert you to incoming calls and messages on Viber.
If you’re only getting notifications when Viber is open, your phone settings may be blocking Viber notifications.

Phone options, names, and settings may vary between phone models.
Step 1: Quick fixes
- Check that your conversations aren’t on Mute or Snooze
- Check your device’s settings to ensure Viber notifications are on
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of Viber
- Confirm that your phone and operating system are supported
- Make sure your phone’s operating system is up to date
- Restart your phone
