How to make a Viber Out call

Use Viber Out to call any phone number in the world!

Before you start calling, make sure you have an active Viber Out plan or World Credit and a strong internet connection.

To make a call from your phone:

1. Open Rakuten Viber on your phone
2. Tap on Calls
3. Tap on the Call button next to the contact you wish to call

OR

1. Tap on the Keypad enter the phone number you wish to call using the full international format: (+)(Country Code)(Area Code without the leading 0's)(Phone Number) and tap Call 

To make a call from your desktop to an existing contact:

1. Open Rakuten Viber on your desktop
2. Find the contact that you want to call either in the Chats list or by typing their name in the Search field
3. Right-click on the chat
4. Select Call (Viber Out)

To make a call from your desktop to a non-contact:

1. Open Rakuten Viber on your desktop
2. Click on your profile picture next to the Search field
3. Click on Use Dial Pad
4. Using the Down Arrow select the country that you wish to call
5. Enter the phone number, including the area code (without the leading 0's)
6. Click Call

Group and video calls are not available for Viber Out calls.

Your regular Rakuten Viber phone number will be displayed to the person you are calling.

On rare occasions, your phone number may be displayed as a ‘Private number’ or a number that is not yours. If your number is displayed incorrectly during an international Viber Out call, please contact support.
