How to buy Viber Out credit or a plan

Want to call any phone number in the world? You’ll need to buy either Viber Out credit or subscribe to a plan.

Buying Viber Out products on your phone is the fastest way to start using Viber Out today:

1. Open Rakuten Viber on your phone
2. Tap on More 
3. Tap on Viber Out
4. Type in the country you want to call in the search bar
5. Select the credit pack or plan that you want to buy
6. Complete the purchase on Google Play/App Store (you will be redirected there)
   • Credit card options are also available on Android

You can also buy Viber Out credit on your desktop:

1. Open Rakuten Viber on your desktop
2. Click on Add credit in the top corner of the screen
3. Select the credit pack you want to buy
4. Enter your personal and credit card information
5. Click Buy to confirm

You can buy Viber Out products without an account and even before you download the Rakuten Viber app:

1. Go to the Viber Out website
2. Select the credit pack or plan that you want to buy
3. Enter your phone number (excluding the first zero)
4. Select Continue
5. You will receive an SMS* containing a code to the phone number that you entered; type the code into the available space
6. Select Continue
7. Select your payment type
8. Fill in your details and click Confirm

*If you don’t receive an SMS from Rakuten Viber, select either Resend code or Activate via Voice Call, to try again.

If you just purchased a plan but can’t see it on your account, you will need to check that the transaction was successful by looking for confirmation in:

• The Purchase history page of Viber Out
• Google Play/App Store transaction reports
• Email (a confirmation letter would have been sent to you)

If you don’t find confirmation then your transaction didn’t go through and no charges were made.

If you do find confirmation of a successful transaction, you can try the following:

• Completely close Rakuten Viber on your phone and then open it again
• Restart your phone
• Restore your purchases:

1. Open Rakuten Viber on your phone
2. Tap on More 
3. Tap on Settings
4. Tap on Account
5. Tap on Purchases
6. Tap on Restore

If none of the options above work, you will need to contact support. Please include a screenshot of the confirmation of the successful transaction, as well as the Order ID.

In your Viber Out purchase history, you will find a list of all the purchases you made on Viber Out, as well as the date of purchase, price, the payment method, and the Viber Out Order ID.

To see your purchase history:

1. Open Rakuten Viber on your phone
2. Tap on More 
3. Tap on Viber Out
4. Scroll down and tap on My account
5. Tap on Purchase history

To see your purchase history on the Viber Out website, log into your account and select Payments (in the left panel, under Activity).

If you want to view your purchase or call history on the Viber Out website, you will need to create an account:

1. Go to the Viber Out website
2. Select your country code
3. Enter your phone number (excluding the first zero)
4. Select Continue
5. You will receive an SMS* containing a code to the phone number that you entered; type the code into the available space on the Create account page
6. Select Continue
7. Enter your email address and a password
8. Select Continue

*If you don’t receive an SMS from Rakuten Viber, select either Resend code or Activate via Voice Call, to try again.

Once you create an account, it will automatically be linked to your profile on the Rakuten Viber app (make sure to use the same phone number on the Rakuten Viber app and Viber Out website).

The availability of credit card purchases for Viber Out through Google Play is subject to country limitations. This restriction is due to Play Store regulations that impact our ability to offer this payment method globally.
