Transfer Viber Out credit and plans to a new phone
Got a new phone?
Easily restore your Viber Out World Credit and plans.
Restore World Credit
Your World Credit is linked to your phone number; therefore, as long as you keep the same phone number, you can easily restore your credit on your new phone.
Please refer to the article on transferring Rakuten Viber histories for guidance on restoring your World Credit.
IMPORTANT
If you need to change your phone number as well, you should update it first on the Viber app and then transfer your history to your new phone.
Restore plans bought through Google Play/App Store
If you bought your plans using either Google Play or the App Store, you can restore your purchases as long as you didn’t change the platform that your phone was using.
For example, if you bought a plan through Google Play, and your new phone also uses Google play (both are Androids), you will be able to restore your plans.
However, if your old phone was an iPhone (which uses the App Store), and your new phone is an Android, you will not be able to restore your plans.
Please refer to the article on transferring Rakuten Viber histories for guidance on restoring your plans on phones that use the same platform.
Purchases made using a credit card
Your Viber Out plans will be available to restore on your new phone if you bought them using a credit card (even if you switch platforms) and kept your phone number.
Please refer to the article on transferring Rakuten Viber histories for guidance on restoring your plans.
If you changed your phone number, you will need to update it on the Rakuten Viber app first to restore your purchases.
Using more than one phone number on a single device
World Credit and plans are associated with a single phone number.
If you use more than one phone number on your phone (by switching SIM cards), your World Credit and plans will not be merged. Therefore, you will always only have access to the purchases made with the phone number you are currently using on Rakuten Viber.
