Business Accounts on Viber

Business accounts represent brands on Viber and enable you to connect with them. You can identify businesses by the badge on their info screen.

You can find a business account by entering its name in the search bar and scrolling down until you see it listed under the Businesses section.

Notes:

• For the best results, make sure that Viber has permission to access your location
• You will only be shown businesses based in the country you are currently located in

To reach the info page:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap on Chats
3. Tap on the chat with the business you would like to find more information about
4. Tap on More
5. Tap on Business info

After you have found the business you're looking for, you can either chat with them or initiate a call (if the business supports receiving messages/calls).

To forward a business, follow these steps:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap on More
3. Tap on Business info
4. Tap on Share
5. Choose the desired contact(s)
6. Tap on Send

At the moment businesses on Viber only support communication. The transactions between you and the business are completed outside of Viber.

Note: Viber is not responsible for handling disputes.

Businesses you have contacted only have access to your profile photo (if your “Show your photo” privacy setting is enabled) and display name.

A business cannot access your phone number unless you have provided it to the business yourself by sending it as a message or by calling the business.

Yes. You may be given the option to choose from multiple phone numbers, and some businesses offer free calls - which are indicated as such.

To stop receiving messages from a business:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap on Chats
3. Tap on the Business inbox
4. Tap on a chat with the business
5. Tap on Stop receiving messages

Yes. To mute messages from a business:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap on Chats
3. Tap on the Business inbox
4. Tap on a chat with the business
5. Tap on More
6. Tap on Mute chat

Some businesses on Viber are intended for mature audiences only. When attempting to view an age-restricted business page, you will be prompted to confirm your age before the content is made visible to you.

Note: Some age-restricted businesses will not appear in the search results.

If you have received a business message that violates Viber's Terms of Service, follow these steps to report it:

1. Long-tap a message you have received that violates Viber's Terms of Service
2. Tap Report
3. Fill out the form
4. Tap Submit

Paying for services/products through Viber Pay is not yet supported.

All of your communication with businesses on Viber will automatically appear in the Business inbox.

To move business chats from the Business inbox to the main chat list:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap Business inbox
   
   • Android:
     1. Long-tap the business chat you wish to move
     2. Tap Move to main chat list
   • iOS:
     1. Swipe on the business chat you wish to move
     2. Tap Move
     3. Tap Move to main chat list

To move business chats from the Chats tab back into the Business inbox:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Long-tap (Android) or swipe (iOS) the business chat you wish to move back into the Business inbox
3. Tap Move to business chats
   Note: Only business chats can be moved to the Business inbox.

Yes, to unpin the Business inbox, follow the steps below:

Android:

1. Long-tap the Business inbox
2. Tap Unpin this chat

iOS:

1. Swipe on the Business inbox
2. Tap Unpin

Business chats can be pinned to the top of the Business inbox by following the steps below:

Android:

1. Tap on the Business inbox
2. Long-tap on the business chat you wish to pin to top
3. Tap Pin to top

iOS:

1. Tap on the Business inbox
2. Swipe on the business chat you wish to pin to top
3. Tap Pin

Yes, but note that deleting your business inbox requires opting out of communication with businesses.

To delete the business inbox:

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Tap on More
3. Tap on Settings
4. Tap on Calls and messages
5. Tap on Receive business messages
6. Tap DELETE to confirm
   • You will be prompted to either Keep or Delete the business inbox. Choosing to delete the business inbox will permanently delete your existing business chats.

No. The Business inbox can only include chats with businesses on Viber.
Note: Chats with a Business' bot will also appear in the business inbox.

The Business inbox is created only after your first interaction with a business on Viber.

Business messages are sent by companies that you subscribed to receive promotional messages from, received a service from, or interacted with in the past.

The messages will appear in your Business inbox . To find a business chat, type the name of the company (or phrase contained in the message) in the search bar of your Chats screen.

To find out more about the company that sent you a business message, open the message and tap/click on information at the top of the screen.

Notes:

• The Business inbox is created after your first interaction with a business on Viber
• Chats with bots that are linked to businesses will also appear inside the Business inbox and can be recognized by their badge
• You can clear your Business inbox by tapping the trash can on top

You can choose to stop receiving all business messages or select the companies that you wish to stop hearing from.

Individual companies

1. Open Viber on your phone
2. Select a business chat
3. Tap on Information at the top of the screen
4. Switch the Receive messages toggle OFF
