Enable Caller ID on iOS
Overview
Always know who’s calling by seeing the name of the caller on your screen, even if they aren't saved in your contacts.
Caller ID for Viber Plus on iOS helps you identify unknown callers before you even answer the phone. Since Caller ID uses your phone's native system, you'll need to enable it through your iPhone settings after activating it in Viber.
Caller ID management
To use Caller ID, you must be a Viber Plus subscriber. Here’s how to turn it on:
- Open Viber on your phone
- Tap on More
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on Viber Plus
- Tap on Caller ID
- Tap the toggle to enable Caller ID - this will take you to your phone's native settings screen for Caller ID
- Tap the toggle next to Viber to turn on Viber Caller ID
If you no longer want to use Caller ID, you can turn it off by following the same steps above.
Viber’s Caller ID for iOS uses Apple's native infrastructure. For your security and privacy, Apple requires that all third-party Caller ID services be enabled directly in the iPhone's system settings. The toggle inside Viber simply acts as a shortcut to get you to the correct place.
You can always check or adjust the setting in your phone's native settings:
- Go to your iPhone's Settings app
- Scroll down and tap on Phone
- Tap on Call Blocking & Identification
- Ensure the toggle next to Viber is turned ON to keep the Caller ID active

The iOS implementation of Caller ID works differently than the Android implementation and requires additional infrastructure costs.
